Solutions Architect

A West Des Moines company is looking for a Solutions Architect on a contract-to-hire basis. This position will drive the technical direction of complex projects, assess new technologies, and define best practices for software development, integration, and security. The role will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and keep a comprehensive architecture roadmap, guaranteeing all software solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Create and maintain a full software architecture roadmap to align with business goals and strategies
• Develop and document high‑level solution designs that align with and integrate seamlessly into existing platforms and systems
• Collaborate with business leaders and the IT team to develop technology strategies, recommending new tools, frameworks, and methodologies as applicable
• Give technical guidance and leadership during the software development lifecycle, maintaining compliance with architectural principles and standards

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• 8+ years of related system development experience
• 8+ years of continuous development using C# or Java, Stored Procedures, Source Code Control, and Visual Studio
• Comprehension of OO development concepts
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Scripting SQL objects, Web development, Java development, IIS configuration, SQL Stored procedures, ASP.Net, MVC2, WCF, WWF, or Team Foundation Server
