Staff Accountant (Billing)

Are you looking for a great accounting contract within a large, growing company? Our client is searching for a Staff Accountant (Billing) to join their team. In this role, you'll manage disbursements and billing, prepare and review accounting and reporting, and perform variance and trend analyses, all while maintaining required compliance.

What You Will Do:

• Manage disbursements, billing, payment applications, and the preparation of administrative accounting reports or consolidated statements
• Maintain and analyze accounts and client/insured records with accuracy
• Prepare, review, and interpret a variety of accounting reports, including variance analyses, disbursement summaries, billing reports, and financial statements; ensure accurate and timely processing of all associated tasks
• Conduct variation and trend analyses for key reports or accounts
• Support processing of disbursements, billing, and client/insured statements as needed
• Contribute to the creation, enhancement, and documentation of internal and external accounting procedures, policies, and process improvements across general accounting functions
• Maintain adherence to corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX, and SSAE16 requirements, tax regulations, local GAAP, US GAAP, and other applicable statutory standards

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Associate's degree
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
