Our client is an established, well-known company that supports its employees and offers great benefits. They are looking for an IT Auditor to join their team. This role will conduct IT assurance and consulting reviews, communicating findings and recommendations to management. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience in auditing and IT, and strong decision-making skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct complex IT assurance and consulting reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk management, governance practices, and controls
  • Develop clear observations and recommendations by analyzing audit evidence to form an objective, informed opinion
  • Provide management with clear guidance by communicating observations, risks, and solutions during the audit, both verbally and via written reports
  • Coordinate the accurate and efficient completion of external reviews and inquiries by independent accountants and/or regulatory examiners
  • Support and mentor junior staff in both their performance of job responsibilities and overall development, which may include direct supervision and performance management
  • Identify and examine opportunities that may deliver financial benefits

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree (IT preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant auditing and IT experience
  • Strong understanding of IT general control procedures and business application control procedures
  • In‑depth expertise in the internal control requirements of Sarbanes/Oxley (SOX) and the Model Audit Rule (MAR)
  • Relevant insurance industry experience (preferred)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with outside professionals and personnel at all levels
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage complex reviews
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cultivate a collaborative, team environment
  • Ability to uphold strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Excel and the ability to efficiently learn other software applications
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) (preferred)
