Are you interested in working on complex, highly critical aerospace castings using advanced technologies? Our client is searching for a Product Engineer to join their team. This role will work within a highly respected foundry environment where the organization serves as a sole source for many critical aerospace components. Our client offers an autonomous and technically driven engineering culture that encourages ownership, experimentation, and professional development.

This senior-level engineering role will support the development and production of complex sand castings for aerospace applications. The position oversees tooling design, gating and risering strategies, casting process development and approval, and the resolution of production challenges. The engineer will also lead new casting programs from concept through qualification, collaborate directly with customers on technical requirements, and mentor less experienced engineers. This role requires strong foundry expertise, strong technical communication skills, and the ability to work hands-on with manufacturing and quality teams. Apply now!

Work Model:

  • On-Site

What You Will Do:

  • Design riser, gating, and chilling systems for magnesium and aluminum castings that meet customer specifications
  • Collaborate with CAD, tooling vendors, and pattern shop personnel to define optimal tooling concepts
  • Develop and evaluate sample castings and prototypes through all manufacturing and inspection stages
  • Interpret dimensional and inspection results, identify nonconformances, and implement corrective actions
  • Investigate production problems and drive process improvements on the shop floor
  • Partner with quality engineering to resolve internal and customer-driven quality issues
  • Create and maintain work instructions for casting processes across part numbers
  • Lead new casting program development, including tooling, processes, and metallurgical and dimensional approvals
  • Communicate with customer technical teams, providing guidance on design limitations and manufacturability
  • Maintain compliance with customer and regulatory specifications, along with internal quality systems
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Travel to customer and vendor sites as required

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering – or equivalent technical experience
  • At least 5 years of foundry engineering experience strongly preferred
  • Solid background in gating and risering of non‑ferrous alloys
  • Strong experience with no-bake sand casting processes
  • Familiarity with aerospace specifications, requirements, and quality systems
  • SolidWorks proficiency; experience with MAGMA/MAGMASoft simulation software preferred
  • Must be a US citizen

Benefits Overview:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k
  • PTO
