Vice President, Accounting & Finance

Our client is seeking a hands-on, operationally minded Vice President, Accounting & Finance to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. This role will oversee finance, accounting, and administrative functions while partnering closely with senior leadership to support sustainable growth, strong financial performance, and disciplined execution. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and practical, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership in a fast-moving, product-based environment.

What You Will Do:

• Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls in an inventory-driven business environment
• Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership by providing clear financial insights, KPIs, and analysis to support decision-making and growth initiatives
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and forecasting in a seasonal, high-SKU operation, ensuring financial discipline and adaptability
• Manage and develop the finance team while maintaining strong day-to-day execution and accountability
• Provide oversight of administrative functions, including payroll and human resources, ensuring effective processes, compliance, and scalability
• Partner with external auditors, banks, and advisors; lead annual audit and compliance activities

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA and/or advanced degree preferred but not required
• Progressive finance and accounting leadership experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based environment
• Strong operational finance background with demonstrated success improving reporting, forecasting accuracy, margins, and working capital
• Proven ability to communicate results through metrics and KPIs, not just theory
• Experience leading teams in a collaborative, hands-on culture with an open, approachable leadership style
