They’re now seeking a service-driven Field Service Controls Technician to join their team. In this field position, you’ll visit clients and use your expertise and experience to service, install, repair, or replace mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic pumps and components. As a key representative of the company, you’ll engage directly with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear and collaboration seamless.

What you will do:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair control systems for fluid handling equipment, including emergency on-call support
  • Apply basic PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley) to diagnose issues and perform system adjustments
  • Carry out light machining tasks and execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
  • Read and interpret pump manuals, work orders, ladder diagrams, and wiring schematics to guide maintenance
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to complete service tasks
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
     

What you will need to be successful:

  • Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, process instrumentation, and Windows-based control software
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley software and related automation platforms
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
  • High standards of ethical conduct, initiative, and a results-driven mindset
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and convey technical information clearly
