Palmer Group is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer of custom stainless steel equipment in their search for a skilled Controls Engineer. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in industrial automation and enjoys working across diverse sectors such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems, including developing schematics, I/O panels, system narratives, and PLC/HMI programming. Work Model:

  • On-Site
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and document control systems, including schematics, I/O lists, panel layouts, and programming for PLCs and HMIs
  • Create control narratives and commissioning plans to guide system implementation
  • Collaborate with customers and project engineers to gather requirements and ensure project milestones are met
  • Communicate technical challenges or updates clearly to both clients and internal teams
  • Design electrical control panels using SolidWorks Electrical, ensuring accuracy and functionality
  • Integrate control systems seamlessly into broader project frameworks for optimal performance

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
