Scrum Master

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Scrum Master to join and drive their agile teams, which are dedicated to creating innovative technology solutions in the finance sector, with emphasis on machine learning initiatives and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This position is key in guaranteeing effective project delivery, improving team performance, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. This role supports cross-functional teams through the Scrum framework, oversees product timelines, and communicates effectively among stakeholders. 

Work Model:

• Hybrid
• 8:00AM – 5:00PM

What You Will Do:

• Oversee cross-functional agile teams, maintaining adherence to agile practices and methodologies
• Manage all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, encouraging adaptation, inspection, and transparency
• Partner with Product Owners, team members, and stakeholders to determine project scope, deliverables, and goals for AI projects and finance technology
• Monitor project milestones and deliverables, examining risks and implementing mitigation strategies; elevate problems to stakeholders as needed
• Support team members with agile practices and principles, cultivating an environment of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and self-organization
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and outcomes, using data and KPIs
• Eliminate barriers and protect the team from external distractions to ensure focus on goals
• Assist the Product Owner in keeping a prioritized and organized product backlog
• Promote collaboration and efficiency amongst the team
• Share project status, issues, and risks with senior management and stakeholders
• Monitor performance metrics and team progress using AI tools

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance) or equivalent experience
• 5-9+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role, preferably in a technology team
• Experience as an Agile Project Manager or Senior Scrum Master in a technology or software development environment
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and agile transformation experience
• Experience with IT delivery management in medium-to-large complex environments (Banking/Finance field preferred)
• Understanding of Cloud Platforms, Big Data tools, and AI frameworks (preferred)
