What You Will Do:

  • Lead the company’s financial reporting, including general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP standards
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting regulations
  • Oversee tax regulatory compliance, internal controls, and audit processes to safeguard company assets and maintain transparency
  • Develop and maintain detailed costing models, inventory valuations, and variance analyses critical to manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with operations teams to evaluate production costs, material utilization, and operational efficiencies, providing actionable insights for margin improvement
  • Provide forward-looking financial analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
  • Lead system upgrades, data integrity efforts, and process improvements to streamline accounting workflows
  • Manage union reporting requirements and oversee benefit plan financial reporting
  • Present clear, insightful financial reports and recommendations to ownership and senior leadership to guide company growth

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and production financial analysis
  • Proven experience supporting P&L performance and operational decision-making
  • Experience leading system implementations or upgrades in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills—written and verbal
