Our insurance industry client is seeking an Accounts Payable & Accounting Support Specialist on a temporary basis to assist their growing organization, with a coverage period. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role focused primarily on invoice entry, review of refund requests, and inbox management. The ideal candidate has basic accounting or AP experience, is comfortable with high-volume data entry, and can work efficiently in a structured, process-driven environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Enter corporate invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Enter marketing invoices and ensure proper coding and documentation
  • Monitor and organize the AP inbox, responding to inquiries and routing items as needed
  • Analyze and approve refund requests for accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct research on vendor inquiries, discrepancies, and missing documentation
  • Review weekly billing files for accuracy prior to processing
  • Review and verify file transmissions sent to third-party vendors
  • Partner with accounting team members to guarantee deadlines are met
  • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to internal controls
  • Support other administrative accounting tasks as needed

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Experience in accounts payable, invoice entry, or general accounting (preferred)
  • Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail in data entry
  • Ability to excel while working independently; ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a shared inbox
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
