Palmer Group's client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to help shape and strengthen its data ecosystem. In this role, you will build and maintain high-performing data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. You’ll work hands-on with modern cloud platforms, data warehousing technologies, and visualization tools in a collaborative, on-site environment where data excellence drives real-world outcomes. What You Will Do:

  • Architect, implement, and support scalable data lakes, data warehouses, and storage platforms
  • Engineer and refine ETL and ELT pipelines to enable reliable data movement and transformation
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that convert data into meaningful insights
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define reporting needs and validate data accuracy
  • Deploy and manage data solutions using Microsoft Azure services including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage
  • Optimize Snowflake environments to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability
  • Validate data through quality checks and testing to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting tools
  • Research emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
  • Coordinate with IT and business teams to ensure data initiatives support organizational objectives

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Two to four years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level data solutions
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and scripting languages used for data processing and integration
  • Proven experience working with cloud-based architectures, particularly Microsoft Azure and Snowflake
  • Strong background in data modeling, system architecture, and scalable pipeline development
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools, especially Power BI
  • Solid understanding of ETL and ELT frameworks, data workflows, and optimization techniques
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
