Finance Consultant

Palmer Group has partnered with a large, well-known insurance organization in their search for a Financial Consultant to join their team. This role will support active derivative investment and hedging strategies. In this role, you will manage critical trade lifecycle functions, including collateral, settlements, data flows, and documentation, while also contributing to initiatives to drive efficiency, scalability, and long-term strategic impact.

What You Will Do:

• Support end‑to‑end processing for derivative trades, partnering with portfolio management, trading, legal, treasury, and accounting
• Manage settlements, margin calls, cash flows, and collateral with domestic and international counterparties
• Oversee data integrity across trade execution, booking, accounting, and reporting systems
• Reconcile trade bookings with legal documentation and ensure accurate downstream processing
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers to resolve complex operational issues
• Manage and understand trading agreements (ISDAs, CSAs, MCAs) across entities and counterparties
• Promote strong risk management practices within the team
• Support FX, swap, and option workflows, including affirmations and settlements via tools such as CLS TradeMonitor, GTSS, and MarkitWire if applicable

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1+ year of investment operations preferred
• Familiarity with derivative post‑trade workflows and systems (MarkitWire, triResolve, Acadia, PAM/PFI, GTSS) preferred
• Knowledge of fixed income accruals and option settlements is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills required; VBA/SQL a plus
