Virtual Design and Construction Lead

This role will manage the visualization, planning, and modeling of building projects to support estimating, operations, marketing, and business development. This role will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to collect field data, develop detailed 2D/3D models, guide site logistics, and support project coordination. The position also leads companywide VDC innovation efforts, ensuring the organization stays ahead of emerging technologies and modeling best practices. What You Will Do:

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D construction models using AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and SketchUp
• Manage reality‑capture processes including laser scanning, drone work, Matterport, and field photography
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, owners, and construction teams to gather and validate project information
• Create site logistics plans and provide modeling support for estimating, operations, and business development
• Lead evaluation and implementation of VDC/BIM tools, workflows, and technology improvements
• Train and coach team members across departments to ensure consistent VDC application
• Attend project meetings and support communication between design and construction stakeholders

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Degree in construction, engineering, agriculture, or a related field
• 3+ years of construction experience with a solid understanding of construction principles
• 3+ years of experience with 3D design/modeling software
• 2+ years of experience with 3D laser scanning, drone work, Matterport, or similar capture tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
