Reinsurance Senior Accountant

This senior accounting role supports a growing reinsurance function, with a primary focus on accounting for new and existing reinsurance arrangements. The position will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to onboard reinsurance opportunities, design and enhance accounting processes, establish controls, and support evolving reporting needs.

The role is responsible for analyzing results, ensuring the accurate recording of complex accounting transactions, and preparing journal entries, including the use of automated solutions where appropriate. In addition to reinsurance accounting, the position collaborates with the broader insurance accounting team to ensure consistency, strong controls, and alignment across the organization. This role also plays a key part in financial planning, bi‑annual forecasting, and management reporting, while contributing to audit, regulatory, and process‑improvement initiatives. Apply now!

What You Will Do:

• Analyze and report financial results to senior management and regulators
• Prepare and maintain complex general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Support bi‑annual financial planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting
• Develop financial models and ad‑hoc reporting as needed
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
• Support interim and year‑end audits, including audit schedules and documentation
• Prepare regulatory filings and ensure compliance
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation
• Participate in professional development and special projects

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• At least 6 years in the accounting/finance industry
