Palmer Group is partnering with a manufacturing client to recruit a Quality Engineer for a high‑visibility, hands‑on role supporting real customer product issues from initial investigation through final resolution. This position works directly with customers while collaborating closely with international engineering and quality teams on globally distributed products and programs. What You Will Do:

  • Lead end‑to‑end handling of returned product cases, including physical inspections, functional evaluation, failure analysis, documentation, and customer follow‑up
  • Diagnose product quality and application issues, delivering timely containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action solutions
  • Travel to customer facilities when required to assess failed products, support sorting or containment efforts, or provide technical assistance
  • Evaluate customer warranty and field performance data to uncover trends and recommend product or application enhancements
  • Partner with corporate engineering and quality teams to support customer PPAP submissions
  • Monitor, coordinate, and drive completion of internal corrective action activities for products and manufacturing processes
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product quality and operational effectiveness
  • Serve as a key liaison with international corporate engineering and quality groups on all customer‑related technical matters
  • Assist with the rollout of engineering and quality changes while confirming customer requirements align with approved product specifications and designs
  • Contribute to quality system compliance, documentation, and ISO 9001:2015 certification efforts while managing assigned customer portals

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Working knowledge of DC motors and airflow principles is preferred
  • Familiarity with quality management and compliance standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IATF 16949 is a plus
  • Italian language skills are a plus
