The Financial Operations Specialist supports daily financial operations by resolving inquiries, researching discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. This role manages service tickets, reconciles accounts, processes payments and exceptions, and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve settlement and operational issues while minimizing risk. Additionally, the specialist helps train staff and maintains up-to-date procedures and documentation.

What You Will Do:

  • Train new employees on Financial Operations processes
  • Update and maintain departmental procedures and policies
  • Process daily exceptions and correct discrepancies with vendors and financial institutions
  • Review and handle check payments, including validation, returns, and documentation
  • Manage and resolve settlement tickets and inquiries from internal and external partners
  • Reconcile transactions and process convenience checks, including related requests like stop payments and check copies

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in accounting/banking (preferably settlements/finance)
  • Strong Excel/Word skills
  • Solid organization and time management abilities
