A mission-driven organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core financial operations and deliver high-quality, compliant financial reporting. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting processes, strengthening internal controls, and providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making across multiple entities. What You Will Do:

  • Lead monthly and annual close processes while supervising journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger integrity to ensure complete and accurate financial records
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, and oversee timely regulatory filings and tax reporting
  • Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and long-range projections while tracking performance against plans and managing consistent cost allocation methodologies
  • Review financial statements and reporting packages for accuracy, clarity, and timeliness to support stakeholder needs
  • Partner with leadership to interpret financial results and deliver actionable insights for decision-making
  • Act as audit liaison and drive continuous improvement by enhancing workflows, while leading and mentoring team members and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and development

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • CPA advantageous 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, including close processes and financial reporting responsibilities
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience applying internal control principles
  • Proven ability to lead and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to various audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines across multiple business units
