In this position, you will be responsible for developing strategy regarding system reliability, roadmaps, cloud strategy, and documentation/domain modeling. You will collaborate and work closely with service providers, key strategic vendors, and Application Architects to assist with API Application development. Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, document, and governs on-prem and cloud system architectures for the technology portfolio and infrastructure domain supporting business functions
- Adhere to enterprise standards and policies in line with Enterprise Information management strategies
- Supervise the ongoing optimization and evaluation of current and future cloud systems, including the creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps, as well as ensuring the viability and longevity of existing systems and processes
- Champion cloud technology innovation, maturation/readiness and leverage into IT investments
- Corroborate cloud applications supporting American Equity are compliant, and technically resilient enough to meet established requirements
- Provide advanced architecture and engineering support to automate and administer API platform into all enterprise information systems
- Drive planning and execution of API roadmaps and technology enhancements
- Develop and upkeep standards surrounding documentation related to API processes, procedure and infrastructure
- Provide assistance to various IT departments with design, implementation and troubleshooting of API technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field of study
- 5+ years of information technology experience working with cloud solutions, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Prior C#/.NET experience
- Previous experience developing public cloud native solutions (AWS preferred but not required)
- Experience interfacing with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Skilled working with REST APIs, API Management, Swagger, Postman
- Familiarity with open API standards
