Palmer Group is assisting its client, who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Sales Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of rental and used equipment sales, including developing sales strategies, overseeing inventory management, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring profitability. Responsibilities:

  • Drive rental and used equipment sales growth by developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Manage inventory to meet customer demand and maximize profitability
  • Oversee pricing strategies to remain competitive while also maximizing revenue
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Lead a team of sales representatives by providing guidance, support, and training
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to make informed business decisions
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends for management review
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is ideal but not required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of success in rental and/or used equipment sales
  • Possess or have the ability to rapidly acquire CDL
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel across the US and some international travel as needed
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, construction, and related industries
  • Strong leadership and management skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Enterprise Resource Planning, and CRM software
