Human Resource Generalist

Palmer Group has partnered with an outstanding client in Houston, Texas, for a Human Resources Generalist on a contract-to-hire basis. The HR Generalist will serve as a central point of contact for Human resource-related inquiries. This individual will also assist with recruiting efforts and facilitate the employee onboarding process. If this role aligns with your experience and goals, apply today! 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare offer letters and initiate the pre-employment screening process 
• Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed, including I-9 verification and employment agreements
• Manage all aspects of new hire management; this includes processing employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Maintain accurate and current employee records in the HRIS system, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations
• Perform benefit reporting and partner with payroll in HR/payroll-related activities
• Act as backup to the payroll administrator 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• SPHR or PHR certification is a strong plus
• Experience in Employee Relations
• Advanced knowledge of ADP WFN
• 3 plus years of HR experience
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and V-look Ups

Work Model:

• On-Site
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
