IT Generalist

Our client located in Ames is searching for an IT Generalist to join their team. This opportunity is with a company that has been in business for over 80 years, is an employee-owned company, and offers competitive pay. Responsibilities:

• Review inventory and verify asset locations and users
• Assist employees through phone, email, and in-person contact with hardware and software troubleshooting
• Manage the intranet and administer SharePoint
• Handle requests for technological needs
• Handle transfers of employment and log and label new equipment
• Assist with any technical issues that arise in conference rooms
• Work to provision and deprovision employees from Active Directory 
• Provide IT orientations to new hires

Requirements:

• Able to provide prompt, personalized, and efficient assistance to users while practicing excellent customer service skills
• Able to project a professional image of oneself and the company while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and changing business requirements
• Skilled at building relationships internally and externally
• Strong communication skills 
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Azure is preferred
