Lead Buyer

A fast-growing manufacturer in the Iowa City area is searching for a Lead Buyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have buying experience in manufacturing and be an adaptable problem-solver. To learn more about this position, apply today!



Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with vendors
• Develop new supply sources and vendors
• Recommend potential new sources or alternative materials, prices, and products
• Review and process purchase requisitions and other documents, verifying thoroughness and accuracy
• Follow up to ensure delivery

Requirements:

• 4-year degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Manufacturing, heavy machinery, or electronics purchasing experience preferred
• Experience communicating with vendors and analyzing costs of materials/production
• Great communication and organization skills
