Litigation Paralegal

Palmer Group is partnering with our Downtown Des Moines client in their search for a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment and gain ample experience with legal research and discovery. This position offers an opportunity for overtime and career growth. Responsibilities: 

• Draft basic court filings, letters, and other documents
• Assist attorneys with electronic discovery and trial presentation software, including reviewing and organizing documents in databases
• Assist attorneys by providing support services and research, including document preparation and review
• Assist in preparing and answering discoveries, including organizing and maintaining large volumes of documents
• Prepare and organize outlines and summaries of records for internal and external use 
• Assist in preparing trial exhibits and other trial preparation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required
• JD preferred 
• Hard-working, eager to build a career, self-motivated, and ability to take direction/feedback well
• Proficient in proofreading and editing documents, ensuring accuracy, comprehension, and overall grammar

Work Model: 

• On-Site
• Monday – Friday 
• 8:00 am-5:00 pm with potential for overtime
