Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician at their spring manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance.


  • Conduct routine inspections of production equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and mechanical failures to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions
  • Perform repairs and adjustments on machinery, including but not limited to presses, coilers, and furnaces, to maintain production efficiency
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize repairs to minimize disruptions to operations
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and promptly addressing any safety hazards
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as needed
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a manufacturing maintenance technician, preferably in the metalworking or machinery industry, or a skilled auto mechanic
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to read electrical schematics (preferred)
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures

  • On-Site
  • Monday-Friday, Dayshift, 8-hour shift
  • Monday-Thursday, Dayshift, 10-hour shift
  • Tuesday-Friday, Dayshift, 10-hour shift
