Manager and Head of Controlling

Palmer Group has partnered with this highly established and reputable client to fill the Manager and Head of Controlling role. In this position, you will produce production or sales costs reports by overseeing reporting, corporate governance, product costing, strategic planning, risk management, and controlling. Responsibilities:

• Analyze and compute individual items such as material, time, and labor costs
• Calculate and analyze the association of sales or revenues to cost, and overhead expenditures
• Investigate records such as time and production sheets, payrolls, operations charts, and schedules to obtain data for calculations
• Prepare reports showing total cost, selling prices, or rates of profits
• Supervise the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and other critical financial control documents, ledger and/or account maintenance, and relevant data entry
• Ensure compliance with established regulations
• Produce financial statements and various fiscal and/or budget reports, as appropriate to the area of accounting specialty, to include projections, analyses, and conclusions
• Supply technical expertise to subordinates and management and/or technical staff in the day-to-day management of accounting activities within the area of specialty
• Oversee personnel which will typically include recommendations for firing, hiring, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and work allocation
• Create record-keeping procedures and manage appropriate department records by applicable regulations, policies, and standards
• Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitors expenditures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of Plant Controlling and/or costing experience
• Budgeting, Reporting (Adhoc), and Standard Costing experience
• SAP experience is highly preferred
