Non-Profit Accountant

Palmer Group is partnering with a local non-profit organization to search for a Non-Profit Accountant. Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with the accounting team to provide support mechanisms to enable quality care
• Assist with analysis and verification of general ledger accounts
• Comply and/or distribute monthly financial statements
  
  
• Ensure internal controls within the organization are implemented by maintaining audit trails and adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  
  
• Cooperate with the accounting team to enable accurate and timely financial closings
  
  
• Support daily cash flow activities as needed
  
  
• Cooperate with outside auditors to enable the preparation of the annual audits
  
  
• Assist with the maintenance of balance sheet accounts and reconciliation to the general ledger
  
  
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations accurately and timely
  
  
• Complete monthly contract summaries in order to bill grant-funded programs

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in a related field
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong keyboard/computer skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Nonprofit and grant experience a plus

Work Model:

• Hybrid
• 2-3 days in office/remote
