Our client is seeking an experienced Planning and Logistics Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their worldwide success with veterinary pharmaceuticals. As the Planning and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, from supplier purchasing to customer delivery. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our planning and logistics functions, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and optimize purchasing processes to ensure a reliable supply chain
- Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics to meet customer demand efficiently
- Develop and implement effective production schedules to optimize resources and meet production targets
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high-performance levels
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall operational effectiveness
- Anticipate and proactively address customer issues to ensure a positive customer experience. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve issues promptly
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned on goals and expectations
- Provide strategic guidance for operational initiatives and ensure successful execution of plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (extensive and relevant experience will be considered)
- Proven experience in planning, logistics, and supply chain management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Familiarity with relevant software and Good Manufacturing Process (GMS) systems for supply chain management
