Project Accountant

As the Project Accountant, you will perform various functions related to construction projects, billing, collections and budgets. You will also work closely with Project Accountants, as well as work for the other business units and Project Managers. Responsibilities:

• Bill jobs as turned in by Project Managers
• Generate new job numbers for Project Managers
• Add new jobs, budgets, labor rate, and other data into Spectrum
• Review and update CSRs and Overview Reports for all assigned Project Managers’ jobs
• Take part in CSR meetings with Project Managers, CFO, Business Unit Leader, and other management
• Supply contractor tax statements for jobs as needed
• Provide assistance in the audit of any jobs
• Help with the annual financial audit
• Maintain accurate daily time reporting

Requirements: 

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting position, preferably in a similar position
• Knowledge of construction billing & collections is preferred
• Understanding of of sales and use taxes
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word is required, experience with Access preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
