Project Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to understand project requirements
• Collaborate with Project Managers to assess customer needs and develop accurate cost estimates
• Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare comprehensive project estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment costs
• Research and source prices for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure accurate estimates
• Analyze project risks and factors that may impact costs, and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates
• Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including labor breakdowns, material lists, and pricing summaries
• Present estimates to management for review and approval
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to provide clarifications and support during project execution
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, including project details, pricing data, and relevant documentation
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and pricing changes related to low-voltage systems

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage systems estimating or a related field
• Experience in using estimating software and tools
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for low-voltage systems is a plus
