Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to provide guidance and ensure that full consideration for both external and internal customer 
  • Oversee inspection process of outbound and inbound product
  • Conduct supplier quality audits in conjunction with Purchasing
  • Coordinate and provide support about the company’s Quality standards and systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
  • Coordinate and support audits from customers, processes, products, policies, procedures, or programs
  • Ensure that conformance to requirements is upheld with timely corrective action
  • Implement the problem-solving process for system deficiencies, defective material, and customer complaints, and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective action
  • Organize the execution of successful PPAP submissions to customers and suppliers
  • Enter customer-specific web portals for scorecard reviews, data collection, PPAP submissions, rejection notifications, etc., or reporting as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 6 years experience in an Engineering/Quality Engineering position 
  • Solid knowledge of Metrology, Geometric Dimensioning, and Tolerancing
  • Prior experience with ISO 9001
  • Experience with IATF 16949 is preferred
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in quality analysis tools such as 8D, SPC, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Previous experience in a dynamic environment 
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
