Responsibilities:

  • Function as a key member of the leadership team to support and execute critical initiatives
  • Assure that department standards are current, appropriate, and followed consistently, with a safe and efficient environment for employees
  • Responsible for all employee management including hiring, training, evaluations, and necessary discipline 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels 
  • Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicator reporting 
  • Communicate changes effectively and respond to and manage feedback 
  • Create procedural workflows to support biller/coder and central business office results
  • Assess departmental staff development needs and facilitate staff education programs for compliance and ongoing development, retention, and education 
  • Lead and provide operation directives for all revenue cycle activities related to coding, claims management, and collections of receivables
  • Meet all Central Billing Office and Biller/Coder department goals and objectives consistently 
  • Ensure timely efficient cash collections to support the overall financial goals of the organization 
  • Develop and direct programs to compile patient charges and secure all payments 
  • Implement new technology to provide an efficient revenue cycle process and maximize productivity
  • Set  priorities, plan and organize multiple projects to meet goals within specific timeframes
  • Maintain an inclusive work environment to allow for employee achievement
  • Monitor and control budget and analyze any variances 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in Billing operations
  • 3+  years of management experience within a similar capacity
  • Knowledge of CPT, health insurance practices, and government regulations and policies
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
