Sales Representative

Palmer Group is working with a reputable building materials distributor seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join their team. As a Sales Representative, you will be pivotal in managing all aspects of the sales process, driving sales growth, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and promoting their products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory
• Meet and exceed sales targets through effective prospecting, negotiation, and closing techniques
• Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to communicate their value propositions to customers effectively
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient order fulfillment
• Oversee the entire sales process from bid preparation to delivery of goods to the final destination
• Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a distribution, construction, manufacturing, or related industry
• Experience selling products vs. services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
• Aptitude to learn products to ensure you are the subject matter expert for your clients
