Sales Tax Manager

Our client is hiring a Sales Tax Manager to oversee compliance with their sales tax. This individual will lead a team of 7-8 hourly employees that processes around 4,000 annual sales tax returns. If this interests you, apply today!

Responsibilities:

• Research and address how to resolve issues
• Handle sales tax license renewal
• Drive compliance system development and modification, including Vertex Returns, Epicor, Excel Power Queries, and Power Pivots, to ensure the team performs optimally
• Lead a team of 8 associates in the preparation of tax returns

Requirements:  

• Proven track record of speaking with taxing authorities
• Experience with sales tax systems such as infolease, vertex, epicore, or similar systems
• Understanding disputes, penalties, admitted returns, and some exposure to audits would be nice
• Direct Management experience preferred but not required
