Senior Life Underwriter

Palmer Group has partnered with an established financial group in their search for a Senior Life Underwriter. This position will be responsible for the total case management of all applications that are assigned. If you have 5 or more years of insurance underwriting experience, this may be your position! Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new applications and evaluate requests for life insurance policy changes
• Communicate case requirements, rationale, and underlying underwriting philosophy to agents
• Assist with the underwriting department to more efficiently process applications for final disposition
• Review applications, examinations, laboratory, and other test results
• Work independently with support from assistants while consulting with other underwriters

Requirements:

• College Degree
• 5+ years of equivalent experience
• FLMI, FALU, and CLU Designations preferred
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Model:

• Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
