Senior Process Engineer

Our central Iowa-based client is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for identifying areas of inefficiency and cost within our manufacturing and production processes and implementing innovative solutions to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve overall performance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to drive process improvement initiatives
• Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects, ensuring timely implementation and sustainable results
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and production staff as needed
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to manufacturing processes and efficiency improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field) required
• 5+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, including but not limited to machining, assembly, automation, and materials handling
• Demonstrated ability to identify areas of inefficiency and cost within manufacturing processes and implement effective solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
• Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and methodologies is highly desirable
