Senior Tax Accountant – Compliance

This position will prepare federal and state income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, and monthly tax provisions. If you are qualified and interested in this position, apply today!

Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the compliance team to prepare federal and state income tax returns
• Prepare U.S. monthly tax provisions, tax account roll forwards, and effective rate reconciliations
• Maintain deferred tax reconciliations and prepare annual “tax return to provision” true-ups
• Put together the tax information necessary for the accurate completion of quarterly and annual financial statements and perform other tax accounting procedures as necessary
• Forecast and prepare taxes quarterly federal and state income tax estimated payments
• Compose tax calculations for the annual budget and 10-year plan
• Took on additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
• Devise tax research and support tax accounting policies and procedures
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 6+ years of related work experience, prefer four being in income tax accounting with a certified public accountant designation or a graduate business degree
• 8+ years of related work experience if no CPA designation or graduate business degree; prefer 4 years of income tax accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of tax law and procedures, tax research skills, familiarity with various tax returns and schedules
• Strong computer software skills
• Strong accounting and financial statement knowledge
