We are assisting a company in the search for a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect interfaces across all departments, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects and how IS/IT supports them. They conceive strategies and solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions.  Apply today if interested! 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple projects as a project leader or internal consultant
  • Consult with project teams to ensure compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, and services
  • Collaborate with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits
  • Lead highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge of one or more specialized architecture areas such as network, security, applications, data, systems, and Internet and business segments
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide knowledge and counsel to others
  • Design standard configurations and patterns
  • Support the sales process with technical assistance and estimating support, especially with advanced or complicated technologies
  • Network and develop strategic alliances with automation suppliers & distributors
  • Communicate with those using technologies to inform them of changes that could impact their work
  • Coordinate architecture implementation and modification activities
  • Maintain and/or acquire adequate certifications and licensing for the segment
  • Identify the tools and components used for a project
  • Perform detailed technical tasks
  • Contribute to the development of the information security strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree program in engineering or science from an accredited college, technical school, or university and six years or more of related work or industry experience
  • Bachelor’s or an associate’s degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university and seven years or more of related work or industry experience
  • Other equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered with solid evidence of success
  • Experience in a project engineering or project services environment, including the following:
  • Knowledge and familiarity with engineering activities, including computer programming, networking, software development, data management, and hardware specification
  • Project estimating, proposals, and working with clients during the sales process
  • Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to Windows Operating Systems and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
