We are partnering with our client in northern Iowa in their search for a Trust Officer. Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate the bank’s trust programs
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, developments, customer demand projections, and other relevant trends
- Plan, conduct and record quarterly Board of Directors Trust Committee meetings
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that ensure compliance with state and federal laws, minimize company exposure, and ensure business continuation
- Managing direct staff
- Monitor and analyze the performance of designated staff, departments, and functions
- Take corrective action as needed
- Build and maintain strong positive relationships to effectively retain new and existing employees, customers, agents, vendors, and other organizations or institutions
- Develop and maintain departmental budget
- Actively manage department resources, practices, and expenses to ensure profitability and ROE. Identify and optimize opportunities for growth
- Attend seminars, workshops, and trainings as necessary to maintain an advanced level of knowledge and expertise
- Participate in civic and professional organizations consistent with company guidelines, as directed or as approved in advance by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or legal
- Juris Doctor/Attorney licensure, Certified Public Accountant licensure, Certified Financial Planner, or Certified Trust or Financial Advisor designation
- Five or more years of experience in trust management or active law practice required
- One or more years of managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 products
