Vice President of Pricing

Responsibilities:

• Create, define, and implement the overall pricing strategy for the company
• Review and analyze key customer metrics, including optimization, profitability, and productivity
• Perform analysis on customer business to drive improvement in low-performing areas
• Supervise multiple pricing teams (Logistics & Assets)
• Develop key performance indicators and related metrics to drive the execution of the overall pricing strategy
• Establish and analyze opportunities for rate adjustments
• Oversee all aspects (Strategy, Processes, Systems, Reporting, & People) surrounding Company pricing and analytics, and related reporting and metrics
• Provide Executive Leadership with timely reviews of the Company’s pricing strategy, including progress and results of various objectives and activities
• Research current market conditions and rate environments within the industry
• Assist in the development processes to streamline pricing
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to deliver financial outcomes and operational objectives

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of pricing analyst and leadership success
• Developed analytical skills
• Ability to interpret data from both internal and external sources to identify macro and micro trends and understand how they will affect supply and demand in the truckload markets
• Ability to manipulate, interpret, and manage large amounts of data on spreadsheets 
• Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 4-year degree in Business Management, Logistics, Transportation Management, or equivalent experience is preferred
• Transportation experience, including asset and logistics; preferred experience in sales, operations, finance, and/or pricing
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time as required by the company’s needs
