Warehouse Refrigeration Manager

 Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of refrigeration technicians to ensure the smooth operation of the industrial freon and ammonia-based refrigeration systems
• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems for both internal technicians and contractors
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate refrigeration activities and support overall warehouse operations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to refrigeration systems
• Train, mentor, and evaluate refrigeration staff to enhance their skills and knowledge and adhere to company policies
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce costs and enhance productivity

Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician, with a focus on both ammonia and freon-based systems
• Proven leadership experience in managing refrigeration teams in a warehouse or cold-storage facility
• In-depth knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial refrigeration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, understand a commitment to a 24/7 operation and handle multiple priorities
• Industrial refrigeration systems certification preferred
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System preferred
