Worksite Safety Specialist

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the company’s safety policies and procedures on construction sites. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, conduct safety training sessions, and lead by example to foster a culture of safety within the team. Responsibilities:

• Perform safety management and collaborate with supervisory personnel to control hazardous working conditions
• Develop and implement employee and craft safety orientation training programs 
• Conduct work area surveillance inspections, air sampling tests for confined space entry, property damage, and personal injury investigations
• Review documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted
• Implement corrective action as required
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and other applicable laws and standards
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
• Work closely with management to continuously improve safety standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational health, or related field, and/or a combination of safety certifications and related experience
• Thorough understanding of local and federal safety regulations 
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to train and motivate team members to embrace safety practices
