Work model:
- On-Site
- Monday-Friday, Dayshift, 8-hour shift
- Monday-Thursday, Dayshift, 10-hour shift
- Tuesday-Friday, Dayshift, 10-hour shift
What you will do:
- Conduct routine inspections of production equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and mechanical failures to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions
- Perform repairs and adjustments on machinery, including but not limited to presses, coilers, and furnaces, to maintain production efficiency
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize repairs to minimize disruptions to operations
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and promptly addressing any safety hazards
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as needed
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
- Proven experience as a manufacturing maintenance technician, preferably in the metalworking or machinery industry, or a skilled auto mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to read electrical schematics (preferred)
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures
