What you will do:
- Develop, execute, and oversee the budget and forecasting process to confirm it aligns with organization’s objectives
- Offer consultative suggestions to support the goals of the strategic financial plan
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights for future-oriented projects and strategic decision-making
- Compile detailed reports for senior management regarding trends, discrepancies, and potential for cost reduction or revenue growth
- Create and sustain intricate financial models to back strategic initiatives, assess business cases, and analyze investments
- Formulate long-term strategic financial plans with leadership, offering insights and suggestions to foster growth
- Apply zero-based budgeting techniques and driver-based budgeting methods; track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Create a 3-year financial plan aligned with organizational strategy to maximize value
- Present recommendations to senior leaders at team meetings to enhance value
- Develop financial models, prepare reports, and analyze accounting literature to evaluate impacts on forecasts and budgets
- Support leadership initiatives by performing ad hoc financial analyses
- Collaborate with business partners to enhance financial acumen by educating on key metrics and optimizing self-service tools
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or practical work experience
- Over 5 years of experience in the accounting/finance field, including managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Independent problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as aptitude for building relationships
- Experience with safeguarding confidential information
- Skill in conducting analysis and providing data-driven insights to management
- Proficiency in completing and mentoring others through sequential processes
- Capability to adhere to deadlines and accuracy standards
- High level of collaboration with internal stakeholders to create reports and analyses to meet their needs
- Capacity to evaluate data accurately, derive insights from data, and draft easily understood, concise reports
- Excellent technical skills, proficiency with ERP systems and financial software, and the capacity to gain proficiency with new systems quickly
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Proficiency with Adaptive, Workday, or additional visualization or data analysis tools preferred
