Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer to support a regulated financial institution by ensuring regulatory requirements are met across strategic initiatives, vendor partnerships, and operational projects. This role is highly project-driven and ideal for a compliance professional who enjoys research, problem-solving, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
The Compliance Officer will play a visible role in interpreting evolving state and federal regulations, advising leadership on potential risks and impacts, and helping shape a growing compliance function. This position works closely with risk, fraud, operations, marketing, and external vendors, and is well-suited for someone confident in leading compliance conversations and managing multiple priorities at once.

What you will do:
- Lead compliance efforts across multiple concurrent projects
- Ensure regulatory requirements are identified and addressed
- Research and interpret state and federal regulations, proposed rules, and industry trends to assess impact on the organization
- Engage with vendors during demos and implementations
- Represent compliance in project meetings, partnering with risk, fraud, operations, marketing, and leadership teams
- Track, document, and report compliance risks, regulatory updates, and implementation progress
- Review and maintain compliance documentation, CMS reporting, and internal controls
- Communicate regulatory changes and emerging risks clearly
- Monitor litigation risk, regulatory guidance, and industry developments to keep the organization informed and prepared
What you will need to be successful:
- 3–5 years of compliance, risk, or controls experience within a financial institution
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret laws, regulations, and trends
- High confidence and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Collaborative, approachable style with a strong service mindset
- CUCE certification preferred (or willingness to pursue)
