Construction Field Safety Training Development Manager

Our client is looking for a dedicated Construction Field Safety Training Development Manager who will participate in the building and development of their safety training program! In this role, you will work closely with foremen, superintendents, and project managers to ensure safety and environmental procedures compliance. You’ll maintain a visible presence in the field, visiting job sites and engaging with employees throughout the day by addressing safety inquiries, checking employee PPE, and conducting incident investigations. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in achieving profitability and productivity goals, all while reporting directly to the Safety Director. What you will do:

  • Implement and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOT)
  • Advise the Safety Director on compliance issues and preventive actions
  • Conduct safety training, surveys, inspections, and post-accident investigations
  • Maintain safety records and prepare reports with recommendations
  • Manage job site, equipment, and vehicle inspections for safe working conditions
  • Directly influence and participate in building and developing the existing Safety Training Program

What you will need to be successful:

  • 3+ years of safety-related construction experience, including OSHA, First Aid/CPR, Confined Spaces, DOT, and Excavation safety
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in environmental/occupational health and safety and CHST certification
  • Skilled in writing detailed reports, documenting investigations, and presenting safety procedures to small groups
  • Excellent computer and communication skills; ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel overnight (less than 10%)
  • Ability to work weekends/holidays as needed, maintain regular attendance, and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing, etc.)
