Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and financial reporting
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information by structured and routine closing of the books
- Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Generate financial statements and perform month-end variance and trend analysis
- Review for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget process
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
- CPA or Master is a plus
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working with a non-profit organization is preferred
