What you will do:
- Prepare detailed electrical installation estimates
- Develop cost breakdowns for materials and labor
- Maintain compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Solicit proposals from subcontractors and vendors
- Coordinate with leadership, project management, suppliers, operations, and field teams
- Perform peer reviews with project managers and lead electrical foremen
- Evaluate project plans to assess risks and present solutions
- Create project schedules and ensure timelines and budgets are met
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or construction management
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction estimation preferred
- Expertise in automation systems, automatic temperature controls, process controls, and building management systems
- Thorough knowledge of electrical power monitoring systems, power distribution control systems, integration, and networking
- Understanding of electrical systems, materials, and codes
- Prior experience with computer estimating systems
