We are seeking an efficient and value-driven individual to join our team as a Fixed Income Derivative Portfolio Manager. This role is key to enhancing the company’s ability to execute trades efficiently, identify value-driven opportunities, and maintain compliance with both regulatory standards and internal policies. What you will do:
- Recommend and execute value-driven transactions in the Bank’s funding, investment, and derivative activities, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s asset/liability objectives
- Develop and maintain up-to-date market analysis, evaluating how market events impact Capital Markets activities
- Serve as a liaison between Treasury and other departments, the FHLB system, and the Office of Finance to strengthen partnerships and drive performance improvements
- Regularly review and update Treasury policies and procedures to optimize business operations
- Build and nurture relationships with broker/dealers to improve trade execution
- Provide support for Trading Desk personnel as needed, stepping into back-up roles where necessary
- Ensure that all departmental activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal controls
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics, or a related field
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA, or certifications like CFA, are a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment or financial markets
- Strong understanding of finance, economics, accounting, investment, and banking principles
- Proficiency in tools such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, Intex, PolyPaths, and Principia, or similar analytical platforms
