We are seeking an efficient and value-driven individual to join our team as a Fixed Income Derivative Portfolio Manager. This role is key to enhancing the company’s ability to execute trades efficiently, identify value-driven opportunities, and maintain compliance with both regulatory standards and internal policies. The position also involves collaborating with various departments across the Bank to provide insights and recommendations related to trading strategies and process improvements. What you will do:
- Recommend and execute value-driven transactions in the Bank’s funding, investment, and derivative activities, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s asset/liability objectives
- Develop and maintain up-to-date market analysis, evaluating how market events impact Capital Markets activities
- Serve as a liaison between Treasury and other departments, the FHLB system, and the Office of Finance to strengthen partnerships and drive performance improvements
- Regularly review and update Treasury policies and procedures to optimize business operations
- Build and nurture relationships with broker/dealers to improve trade execution
- Provide support for Trading Desk personnel as needed, stepping into back-up roles where necessary
- Ensure that all departmental activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal controls
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics, or a related field
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA, or certifications like CFA, are a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment or financial markets
- Strong understanding of finance, economics, accounting, investment, and banking principles
- Proficiency in tools such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, Intex, PolyPaths, and Principia, or similar analytical platforms
