What you will do:
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on tooling design and casting process optimization
- Support new product introductions from concept to launch, including trials and process validation
- Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface directly with customers on technical topics and provide design-for-manufacturability feedback
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions and engineering documentation
What you will need to be successful:
- 3+ years of experience in foundry engineering or casting design (aluminum/magnesium preferred)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks; exposure to MAGMA/MAGMASoft a plus
- Strong understanding of manufacturing tolerances, NDT standards, and blueprints
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating directly with both shop floor and customers
