Human Resources Manager

Our client is a well‑established manufacturing company with approximately 500 employees and a strong reputation for quality, safety, and operational excellence. As a non‑union environment with a collaborative culture, they are committed to supporting their workforce and investing in people. Due to the upcoming retirement of a long‑standing Human Resources Manager, they are actively looking to backfill this role.

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all plant HR operations, drive strategic initiatives, and support a high‑performing workforce across our manufacturing operations. This leader will guide a team of three HR professionals and partner closely with the Senior Director of HR to ensure alignment and best results. Apply today!

What you will do: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three HR professionals
  • Oversee all HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning
  • Partner with leadership to develop HR strategies that support business goals and operational excellence
  • Manage recruitment and retention efforts for skilled trades, production, and professional roles
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support training, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a positive, collaborative culture
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in HR processes and policies

What you will need to be successful: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (master’s preferred)
  • 7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing HR teams
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in non‑union manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Strategic mindset with a hands‑on, approachable leadership style
