As a member of the VS&A team, this individual will oversee project teams to ensure timely and efficient security installations and upgrades. What you will do:
- Deliver top-notch customer service to clients and employees
- Guide and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Hire, train, and supervise the VS&A technician
- Perform regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback for the VS&A technician
- Work with sales personnel, customers, and program management to design and estimate security solutions for new opportunities
- Create and design security architectures for new and existing systems, focusing on server configurations and physical security measures
- Set up, configure, and maintain servers to support security systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Install, configure, and maintain video security systems, including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related hardware
- Service, test, and commission video and access control systems
- Set up and manage access control systems, including card readers and electronic locks
- Install and maintain software for video security cameras and access doors, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
- Establish processes for routine maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video security, access control systems, and associated software
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement for security equipment
- Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of installed systems and software
- Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure the integration of security systems
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements
- Contribute to building VS&A sales packages
- Achieve and maintain certifications for video security and access door systems as defined by the program manager
What you will need to be successful:
- Associate degree in information technology, engineering, instructional technology, or a related field
- Experience in installing and maintaining video security and access control systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Thorough understanding of networking principles and IP-based security systems
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in the installation and maintenance of security systems
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of security software
